Some positive, some negative, here are a few helpful facts about how the nutrition of food you ingest could help or hurt your existing pain.

Inflammation + Food

Let’s talk inflammation. Inflammation is a process by which your body’s white blood cells and the things they make protect you from infection. In some diseases, like arthritis, your body’s defense system triggers inflammation when there are no invaders to fight off.  These symptoms can include redness, a swollen joint, joint pain, joint stiffness, and a joint that is not working properly. There are certain types of food that trigger inflammation or help work against it. Here’s what we found! If you’re trying to reduce inflammation…

  • Berries
  • Salmon
  • Broccoli
  • Avocados
  • Green Tea

  • Foods containing high-fructose corn syrup
  • Artificial trans fat
  • Vegetable oils such as soybean oil
  • Refined carbs such as candy, bread, pasta, soft drinks
  • Alcohol in excessive amounts

Vitamin Intake

Your body needs vitamins and minerals to heal. But how do you know which ones to take? There are so many! Here are a few we found highly recommended:

  • Vitamin B12- helps the body coat and protect nerves
