Summer Camps in the Woodlands, Texas

Summer is fast approaching—do you have plans yet? We have compiled a list of summer camps in the Woodlands, Texas area to suit all kinds of needs, interests, and ages. 


Camp Shutter Speed is a 5 day camp for 5-12 graders interested in photography. Experienced photography instructors teach the basics of digital photography in a kid-friendly environment.

Sports Camps

There are a lot of options out there for your little athlete! Challenge Soccer Club is holding their very own soccer camp. Interested in enjoying some time on the water? Parati Competitive Rowing has a rowing camp.  VillaSport LLC is running Camp S’more, where kids participate in games, sports, aquatics, nature, and science! Titan Sports Camps has summer camps focusing on fundamental skills for all different sports including baseball, softball, basketball, soccer, dance, volleyball, football, and cheerleading. Ages for these camps vary, but there are options for June and July.


Does your child like to create? Cordovan Art School explores the art of video games, theater, anime, drawing, painting, mixed media, watercolor, pottery, and technology. Designed for ages 5-16, this camp runs May 31-August 19. The Woodlands Art League also puts on summer camps including Imagine Me Art Summer Camp, Around the World in Art, Serengeti Safari, and Canoeing through the Amazon Rainforest where your 7 to 16-year-old child can explore visual, drawing, painting, sculpture, and photography in June.


StoneBridge Church Ultimate Summer Camp is a Christian camp for preschoolers through grade school aged kids. The Woodlands Methodist Church Splash Camp offers various activities such as soccer, dance, basketball, cheer, and music/art/drama.  Another fun-filled option is Christ Church United Methodist’s camps which have various themed options for little kids all the way up to older children. This camp includes themed, hands-on activities in June and July. 

Dance & Performing Arts

In-Step Dance & Performing Arts Center has a wide range of camp themes including Broadway Bound, Hip-hop Boot Camp, Fairies, Mermaids and Mythical Creatures camp, Pop Star Academy, Acro-Circus Adventure, and Encanto Magic. These camps include ages 7-14 and run June 13-June 29. Boni’s Dance & Performing Arts Studio has structured ballet and tap dance camps that teach the basics. This camp is for ages 4-11 and runs June 6-July 30, with camp themes varying weekly. For your performing arts lovers, Class Act Production is holding camp that ends in a production of “101 Dalmatians” for 1-5 graders and “The Music Man Jr.,” for 6th-11th graders. These camps are in May and June, respectively. 


Karate teaches discipline, hard work, and self defense. Karate of The Woodlands will run June 13-17 and July 25-29 for ages 5-12. Campers will learn classic karate skills like board breaking, grappling, karate drills, safety skills, and fun games. 


Your child can be a scientist at WOW Science Camp. Children will learn about astronomy, geology, zoology, medicine/health (senses), and chemistry. Camp runs in June and July for 3.5 year-olds through 4th graders. Camp Invention is designed for your curious K-6th graders, as the curriculum is rooted in science, technology, engineering and math by covering fun topics such as robotic fish, space exploration, and robot building. Dates vary. 


Maximum Athletics is hosting a gymnastics camp for your little tumbler this summer with two themes: Beach Blast and Olympic Games. Camp is available in June or July for ages 3-14, depending on the camp. 


My Forest Village Preschool is designed to teach children with hands-on curriculum.  Prescolaire Early Learning Camp was created for ages 5-13, including a specially designed curriculum that emphasizes STEAM and literacy to help campers prepare for the next school year.   


The Woodlands Children’s Museum has various workshops over the summer focusing on science, culture, and the arts for ages 4-10, June 6 -August 4. Does your child love animals? Zookeeper Kamp gives children ages 9-11 a chance to care for a variety of animals like real zookeepers! The Woodlands Township consists of different activities, games, and crafts for ages 6-12, May 31-August 16. Camp options include Tennis Camp, Teen Summer Camp, Sunny Dayz Camp, Sports Week, Counselor in Training, Luau Week, Safari Week, Superheroes Week, Disney Week, Blast from the Past, Pirate Week, and more.
