Summer Movies Coming Out!

May 8, 2020

As the movie theaters open back up, we are looking forward to the new movies coming out soon! If you’re hesitant to visit the theater, there’s always a drive-in option. The Showboat Drive In Theater is a bit of a drive from The Woodlands, but quite the experience! From comedies to family movies to the best action shots… here are a few movies that you can look forward to this month.

The High Note: Featuring Dakota Johnson, Tracee Ellis Ross, and Ice Cube, they are in the middle of the LA music scene. Think flashy lights, big crowds, and beautiful skies! Kind of like The Devil Wears Prada, Dakota Johnson’s character is stuck running errands as a personal assistant to music start Tracee Ellis Ross’ character. Looks like a unique twist turns that all around! Rated PG-13, releasing in May 2020.

Scoob: Scooby is back! This trailer is absolutely adorable, with the story starting from the moment that Scooby and Shaggy first meet, to the adventures they go on together after meeting the whole crew. This is the perfect chance to share our childhood memories with our own little ones! Rated PG, releasing in May 2020.

Free Guy: Starring the very talented Ryan Reynolds, Free Guy is an extremely creative spin on the superhero narrative. Instead of being your traditional superhero, Ryan Reynolds plays a bank teller who suddenly finds out he is actually living inside of a brutal, open-world video game. This one is not yet rated, releasing in July 2020.

We hope this helps spark some excitement for the near future- stay safe!
